It is fundamental to keep students at the center of discussions about standards, assessment and curriculum. We work with teachers, schools and districts to help students reach their full potential, especially English Learners and traditionally under-served and linguistically and culturally diverse populations.
Utilizing clear, practical strategies promoting effective interactions among students and between teachers and students, we seek to develop meta-cognitive use of academic language and literacy at a high level.
We promote English language acquisition for students whose mother tongue is Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, and other language. Likewise, we promote Spanish language or other language acquisitions for English-language native students.
We strive to train teachers to have an impact in their students not only academically but socially and cross-culturally. Tied to standards, the model trains teachers to give access to core curriculum using local district guidelines and curriculum.
